SA Open will return to Durban

South African Open? one of the oldest national Open Golf Championship in the world will return to Durban Country Club in 2010, when the South African Open will see its 100th anniversary. The South African Golf Association championships and promoters Maru Sport made the announcement about the change in the Pearl Valley Golf Estates on Sunday, shortly after Scotland’s Richie Ramsay won the title this year. The 100th South African Open will be organized in cooperation with the province of KwaZulu-Natal in December, and returned to Durban Country Club for the 17th time – one of the best golf courses in South Africa, recognizes best third hole in the world hosting the SA Open Championships 14 times. “We are pleased with the South African Open back to one of the courses in this country are very close links with the history of this great championship,” said Mosire Motsei, managing director of Maru Sport. “In cooperation with the province of KwaZulu-Natal, we look forward to the celebration of 100 years of history of South Africa where golf is not only a great sporting year for the championship, but for our country as a whole.
